Privacy Notice – The JCC Partnership

The JCC Partnership (JCC) is one small business covering several brands.

How we use your information

This privacy notice tells you what to expect when JCC collects personal information. It applies to information we collect about:

  • visitors to our websites
  • individuals in relation to a data protection or freedom of information enquiry
  • people who use (or consider using) our services, e.g. who subscribe to our newsletter or are clients

Visitors to our websites

Some of our websites use statistical software to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of our sites. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow third parties to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Use of cookies by JCC websites

(not including sites designed by Webmill for other businesses)

  • JCC subsidiary websites do not ordinarily use cookies
  • Some JCC subsidiary websites may use third party cookies and requests that are part of their code which we embed in our sites, e.g. YouTube, Issuu and JQuery for the presentation of videos, audio and pdf files.

Mailing List

We use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our mailers. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our mailouts. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.

People who contact us via social media

If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by e.g. Twitter, Facebook etc. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

People who email us

We encrypt email in transit. We monitor any incoming emails and their attachments for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that emails you send are within the bounds of the law.

People who use JCC services

JCC offers various services to the public and businesses.

We hold the details of our service users and potential service users. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested and for other closely related purposes. For example, we might use information about people, businesses, the technology they own or the nature of their business for the purpose of creating designs or for providing them with support and training.

Access to personal information

JCC will give people access to their personal information wherever possible upon request. If we do hold information about you we will:

  • give you a description of it
  • tell you why we are holding it
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form

If you agree, we will try to deal with your request informally, e.g. by providing you with the specific information you need over the telephone.

Disclosure of personal information

In many circumstances we will never disclose personal data without your consent e.g. if we register for an online service on your behalf. However there are some occasions within the law e.g. when dealing with an accounting company or HMRC that information about you or your business may be disclosed.

Destruction and amendment of personal information

If you would like us to delete any personal information we have, we will do so on request wherever possible within the law. Please contact us if you would like it to be corrected or destroyed.
